What’s our relationship with winegrowers?

The five winegrowers we work with are like family. We treasure these relationships and for us it is a true partnership. Each are highly respected in the wine industry with decades of experience. For our Chardonnay we work with Lee Martinelli Jr, a fourth generation wine grower in Sonoma County. On the Sonoma Coast where our Pinot Noir is grown, we work with Steve MacRostie, who has been making wine and growing grapes for more than 40 years. For our Zinfandel in the Russian River Valley, we work with Bill Nachbaur at Alegría Vineyard who has been growing grapes and making wine for over 20 years. Our Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are grown by Bret Munselle whose family has been farming in Alexander Valley for over 130 years. Our Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown by John Macleod whose family has been farming Sauvignon Blanc for over 20 years in the Sonoma Valley.

We spend a lot of time with each of the growers walking through the vineyards and monitoring grapes throughout the growing season. What is important to us is that they are good stewards of the land, and they, like us, see this as a long-term commitment.
